garrettVeronica E. Garrett, MD

Dr. Garrett obtained her bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, and completed her OB/GYN residency at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center.

Dr. Garrett is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has a special interest in Robotic Surgery, menopause, abnormal bleeding, treating Uterine Fibroids, and Rejuvenation Services. She specializes in Biodentical Hormone Replacement Pellet Therapy. 

Dr. Garrett has hospital privileges at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital and Emory Dekalb Medical Center.

harrisNaomi R. Harris, MD

Dr. N. Ruth Harris obtained her bachelor's degree from Lehman College of The City of New York. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Yale University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Harris is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has special interest in Fibroid management, Infertility, and adolescent gynecology. She also enjoys reading, art and learning new languages.

Dr. Harris has privileges at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital and Emory Dekalb Medical Center.

Dr YoungKatherine Young, MD

Dr. Young grew up in the Conyers area and is excited to return to practice near her hometown. Dr. Young graduated summa cum laude from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia before earning her medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Afterwards, she completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency program as Chief Resident at the Methodist Health System in Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Young is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is an active member in many leading medical organizations, including the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Medical Association and the Southwest Gynecology Assembly. In her spare time, Dr. Young is a huge football fan and enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.

 

mayfieldMaesha Twyner, MD

Dr. Maesha Twyner is a native of Pass Christian, MS. She moved to Conyers and joined the New Beginnings team in September 2021. She obtained her bachelors degree at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Morehouse School of Medicine. When not in the office, Dr. Twyner enjoys photography, traveling, and spending time with family. 

Dr. Twyner is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has a special interest in Behavior Sciences and Health Education. She is certified in Robotic and minimally invasive surgery.

Kristina Carmain joined New Beginnings in May 2016. She received her bachelor's degree from Wofford College and a Masters of Science at Georgia Health Sciences University. Kristina went on to obtain her certification as a Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner from Georgetown University.  Ms. Carmain has special interest in providing resources for patients suffering from behavior and mental health illness. She likes to research and learn new things. In her spare time she likes to read, travel, and watch sports.
